- Shatter resistant Acrylite acrylic is safer and lighter than glass. It filters 65% of UV rays (which can cause documents to fade) while comparable glass filters only 45%. An upgrade to 98% UV filtering acrylic is available for hanging in brightly lit areas.
About the 90 series
The 90 series ships configured in burl, a hardwood moulding from the Larson-Juhl Vienna collection. Underneath, the build is the one we have used since 1984: Crescent carbon-black Ultrasuede over a Crescent gold undermat, both acid- and lignin-free, with your school's name embossed in gold foil inside a recessed, bevel-cut opening in the mat, behind UV-filtering acrylic. Every moulding, mat, undermat and leaf color on this page can be changed, and the image above is rebuilt as you change them. What you see is the frame we make.
