Each frame is
hand crafted by our expert staff and custom made when it is
ordered. All mouldings are cut and assembled on our premises.
Each joint is glued and v-nailed for stability and hand-fitted
and filled to ensure seamless corners. |

Frame Selections |

We use designer
wood frames found in fine custom frame shops. Most of our
frame line is from the Larson-Juhl Vienna and Stradivarius Collections.
The Larson-Juhl Global ReLeaf Forest Foundation is dedicated
to proper forest management and has planted over 200,000 trees
around the world. All of our mouldings are made from non-endangered
wood species. The metal mouldings used in our high school product
line are from Nielsen, the market leader in metal moulding for
over twenty-five years. All metal frame remnants are
recycled and the proceeds are donated to needy families in the
area during the holidays. |

Matting |

A variety of mat boards are used in our
college and university frames, all of them acid free and
meeting Library of Congress preservation standards. Many of
our mats are from the Crescent Moorman Suede collection which
feature 100% lignin-free and acid-free suede surfaces and 100%
lignin-free and acid-free white core and backing paper
buffered with calcium carbonate to an alkaline reserve of 3-5%
with a pH of 7.5-8.5. We also use acid free mats from
Bainbridge and Artique. Our High School products feature
Crescent black core mats cut with a distinctive black bevel.
All mats are bevel cut with state of the art equipment by
experienced custom framers. |

Preservation |

Please choose
a frame for your diploma wisely. The quality of the materials
can greatly affect both the aesthetics and longevity of your
hard-earned diploma. We pride ourselves in providing you
with a quality custom product. Our college and university products
are true conservation quality, and meet Library of Congress
standards for document preservation. Our backing board
is an inert foam core product which will not harm the diploma.
We provide acid free hinging material for easy insertion and
fastening of the diploma. Instructions for this procedure are
included with each frame. You need not send us your diploma.

Acrylite Acrylic Glass |
|
|

Acrylite acrylic,
a superior acrylic manufactured in the USA, is used in all of
our products. Acrylite is half the weight of glass with four
times the impact resistance, while providing outstanding optical
clarity and reduced glare under any lighting condition.
Acrylite is earthquake safe, and requires no special cleaners.
Standard Acrylite filters 65% of UV rays while regular glass
filters only 45%. UV rays are the portion of the light
spectrum responsible for the discoloration and fading of documents
and art. UV light is present in sunlight, halogen lamps
and even common fluorescent lamps. Available on all of
our products, ultraviolet filtering Acrylite OP-3 protects your
important documents by filtering 98% of UV rays. |

Branded college products meet all licensing requirements. A portion of the proceeds
from these sales are returned to your institution. |
